Welcome to the Marvel Cinematic Universe Wiki. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a shared universe created by Marvel Studios featuring its independently made films. Pitching a number of big-name superheroes into the same universe, much like they have done for decades with their comics, has allowed the filmmakers to collaborate and create a rich, history-filled universe full of crossovers and cameos. It currently contains six feature films, three short films and six comic series; there is one comic that may or may not be canon. There are also a number of official non-canon comics based on it, as well as other stories including video games, novels and storybooks. Several collections have been published, of movies, canon comics and canon-inspired comics. For lists of all canon stories, all official non-canon stories, all official stories unknown if canon, all officially published stories, all officially published collections and undeveloped movies possibly taking place in the universe, see Marvel Cinematic Universe.
